CLASS SCHEDULE  FREE EDUCATIONAL ART CLASSES 2010.

Welcome to the Perth Amboy Gallery Center for the Arts, an art exhibition space and art studio where you can create your own unique masterpiece. Our commitment is to promote the arts and public interest in the arts, to provide assistance and services to arts organizations, institutions, and individuals, as well as to significantly enhance the impact of the arts and art education on the quality of life of Perth Amboy residents. We offer ceramic, painting, drawing, dance and music classes to children, teens and adults.

Cartooning and Manga Style Cartooning
Wednesday: 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Ages: 6-10 year olds
For teens: Saturdays: 2:00-3:30 p.m.

During this course you will create a character, develop a story and finish
it by using basic cartooning techniques and diverse materials. Learning the
essential in drawing and painting will be part of this class. Materials
included.

Guitar Lessons
8 year olds to teens
Beginners: Wednesday: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Advanced: Thursdays: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
This class is for students interested in learning the basics of playing
guitar.
Students must bring their own guitar.

Hands on-Art Activities for Children
Ages: 5 to 10
Saturdays: 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Create figures and explore craft activities

Portrait and Figure Drawing and Painting
Ages: teens to adults
Tuesdays: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Learn proportions and relationship between parts of the face and body.
Create a self-portrait by using pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, gouache,
chalk, soft and hard pastels and brushes and paint.

Book Designing for Children
Students will create and write their own story and to learn collage, text
and illustration techniques.
Ages: 7 to teens
Saturdays: 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Drawing and Painting for Adults
Saturdays: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Learn basis techniques of drawing and painting by using pencil, charcoal,
pen and ink, gouache, chalk, soft and hard pastels, brushes and paint.

Crochet
Fridays: 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Learn basis techniques of needlework using yarns.
