Welcome to the Perth Amboy Center for the Arts, an art exhibition space and art studio where you can create your own unique masterpiece. Our commitment is to promote the arts and public interest in the arts, to provide assistance and services to arts organizations, institutions, and individuals, as well as to significantly enhance the impact of the arts and arts education on the quality of life of Perth Amboy. We offer ceramic classes, painting, drawing and music classes to children, teens and adults.

Guitar Lessons

Ages: 8 to teens

This class is for students interested in learning the basics of playing guitar.

Students must bring their own guitar.

Wednesdays: 5:00-6:00 p.m 

Or Thursdays: 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Fee: $65:00 per ten sessions

This class is for students interested in learning the basics of playing guitar.

Students must bring their own acoustic or classic guitar.

Thursdays: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Painting, Drawing and Sculpture

Ages: Teens to Adults

Students will acquire knowledge of the variety of approaches in drawing and painting techniques

Saturdays: 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Fee: $45.00 per ten classes

Material Fee: $ 5.00

 

Hands on-art Activities for Children

Ages: 6 to 9

Students learn the essentials in drawing and painting. Material included

Saturdays: 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Fee:$45 per ten sessions

 

Art Experience

Ages: Teens to seniors

This course is designed to challenge the imagination, stimulate the creativity,and give students an opportunity to develop technical skills and explore the creative process with a wide range of materials including drawing, painting and mixed media.The study of the major art movements and artists in history will be included using art books and slides.This class is for all levels. Materials included.

Fridays: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Thursdays:  3:30-4:30 p.m. Class reserved for seniors

 Fee: $ 45.00 per ten sessions

Material fee: $5.00

 

Ceramic Classes-Hand Building

Ages: 7 to 11

Students learn various approaches to work with clay creating functional and non-functional objects.

Saturdays: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Fee: $ 45.00 per ten sessions

Material Fee: $ 5.00

 

Ceramic Classes—Hand Building

Ages: Adults

Learn how to make cups, bowls, teapots, mugs, tiles and original figures by using coiling, slab building, molds and decorating into clay.

Thursdays: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Fee: $ 45.00 per ten sessions

Material Fee: $ 5.00
